New hair colour? the start of a journey..

So once again I'm wanting to change my hair colour, not just because of boredom, but because I am fed up of accommodating my life to my hair. How is it that big I hear you say?
Well........

  1. The colour, as much as i love it, is not as vibrant as I'd like
  2. It fades quite easily and goes patchy, with brown, pink and dark purple?!
  3. Every time I wash it so much dye comes out, so evidently I can not wash my hair in a white or porous surfaced shower. So I have to shower then go downstairs to my special metal basin and wash my hair in that to avoid staining stuff.
  4.  My hairdresser and salon get annoyed when they use the dye as it stains the sink and they have to wipe and clean it each time and god forbid they get any one their hands...
  5. When its freshly dyed it transfers onto my skin, clothes and bedding. So I have to buy dark bedding and use old sheets to sleep on when I stay over places or wash my hair
  6. If it gets wet from sweating at the gym or in the rain then the dye runs everywhere!
  7. My clips, bobbles, hair scarfs and hats are colored form the dye

Then in my old post I managed to get in contact with the lovely Holly Hagan from Geordie Shore and asked her about her hair dyes by Manic Panic -

So I bought her colour and did this review on it.
So after the bad outcome I have finally decided to go back to red and use the manic panic dye in either pillarbox red or wildfire which had a touch of orange in it.

So now I have months of product build up on my hair from the Directions dye colour, so as I avidly avoid bleach, thats out of the question if I want to keep my hair, then the last time I used the colour B4 before I went blonde, it suckeddd! I stunk of rotten eggs for a week and my hair was like straw for ages!
Admittadley it did work! but the issues that come along with it

Naaahhh

So I researched what to do to make it come out more. So far Ive seen bleach, colour remover, lemon juice, cut it all off or dye it black and start again. But what Ive chosen is to use an anti dandruff shampoo and try to go swimming as much as I can as both of these strip the color out of hair. But to keep its health Ive purchased a Morrocain oil mask from Home Bargains for 99p. (and dry shampoo as my ahir gets greasy quick!)

So I will keep you guys posted on whats happening, so for a while ill have shit hair, so bring on the wigsss!

Another thing im trying to do is vintage hair, as I have what is known as a 'cow lick' at the front of my hair, so its a hell of a pain when I want a fringe Ive decided to just go with it....

sort my fringes out

So in the end Im hoping to get hair like the gorgeous Ashley Marie Pinup <3

Review of Bed Head TIGI

Hi guys, just giving and influx of blog updates before I go MIA again, sooo sorry!
I don't know how bloggers post EVERYDAY, I just don't know what to say or I genuinely don't have the time ( I am actually at work on the bar at the moment! naughty..)
So whenever I have a quiet night at work or have spare time ill put what I can up, usually like now Ive got a backlog of updates to put on.

So recently I bought off Amazon, a 750ml bottle of Bed Head TIGI shampoo and conditioner called 'Colour Combat' for £26.44
Ive only used it a handful of times but already have my gripes with it.

Gripes

The products are in a HUGE bottle, good for saving money and lots of uses, bad for when you want to take them somewhere ;like the gym, they are damn heavy! And also when you open them the spout pops up and you have to dispense more to put it down to twist and lock shut, so each time i MUST remember to do this or i end up wasting a pump.

The shampoo i have to do twice as the first time does not penetrate the first layer of hairspray or cloggyness, so double the usage, and the conditioner i have to use a couple of pumps to really lather my hair and get it soft, and to be able to put a brush through. Compared to the Herbal Essances Bee Strong I usually use, its no where near as good, the Bee strong leaves my hair soooooooooooo silky soft even after a minuit, whereas the TIGI one only makes it a little more manageable.

Also its fairly expensive for what it is...

Goods

OMG the smell...omg....its smells of toffe/ fudge....BE-A-UTIFUL!

And the colour of my hair has stayed better! usually by now it has faded and ginger pathes would be showing and Id be preparing for a top up with it only being Semi permanent. But no the colour has stayed vivid! It does exactly what it says on the bottle....but no more.

Overall, a great product if you have healthy hair and want to keep your colour and its vibrancy, but for people like me who have knackered their hair and are clinging onto it, then this is not really the best product. Id risk the color in order to keep my hair...
Now I have two 750ml of shampoo and conditioner left...so im going to use it every other wash in order not to waste it and to keep the colour for a little longer.

Dreaded weight loss and treats..

Yes, the thing that most girls I speak to are on. DIETS.
Seems like we spend most of our lives 'Dieting' or 'trying to loose weight'. And I am defiantly one of them!

I used to swim competitively for 10 years, 7-10 times a week, sometimes twice a day for 1 hour upto 3 1/2 (sunday mornings, urgh!) untill I turned 18 and found alcohol and student night up Hanley (£1) drinks!!!!
Sooo as the drinks flowed and the eating habits stayed the same then the metabolism slowed down.
I looked over photos progressing over time, along with my weight. Slowly hating the person in the mirror I joined Slimming world. An d what a huge waste of time and money that was! (for me anyway)
Paying £5 each week for someone to tell me Ive put weight on or lost some ( usually putting on overtook taking off) and thrown a book telling me what I can and can't eat. Pfffft!
I ended up quitting and just failing, until about February my other half finally had enough of my constant depressive state about my weight and having to comfort me every time I came out of the changing rooms of Topshop or other stores because I couldn't fit into any of the jeans or shorts.
So I joined my local gym and went nearly everyday, working myself from 200 cals each time to up to 600/1,000! I also got some mates to come classes with me like Zumba and Spinning, which I really enjoyed!
Also I started Kettlercise which was great too! But you cant walk for a few days after.

For months I saw no difference to my body and slowly got more tired and miffed, I was still at my heaviest. So the boyfriend suggested that I should measure myself instead of weighing because muscle weighs more than fat. Over time the numbers started to go down and down, I WAS FINALLY LOOSING WEIGHT! HOORAH!!! Alongside the exercise I was recommended to listen to and read Paul McKenna's-I can make you thin, CD and book. I admit at first I was skeptical about hypnotherapy and listening to the CD, but I kept trying it and it really worked! My cravings stopped and I stopped snaking and mindlessly eating junk food and really listened to my body. Amazing stuff! and I still use it now! Also I have noticed I am now picking healthier options, but keeping the treats in moderation or work it off the next day.

So I thought If I carry on loosing this weight and want to keep myself interested and motivated ( because it gets soo boring sometimes) I made a deal with myself, if at the end of each month I have lost weight then I will treat myself to a new Suagrpill eye shadow that i so respiratory need. Because some weeks I start to go days without exercising ans the laziness starts to creep in. But to my prevail and a few months later I have finally lost a stone! (yaaaay!) So as a well done I bought myself the 'Burning Heart palette' Ive been eyeing up for months <3
Suagrpills Burning Heart Palette

So my advice to you is not to torture yourself by eating salads at every meal time and snaking on nothing but cardboard, eat ONLY when your truly hungry and enjoy exercise, don't make it a burden. Make friends come with you and do classes if the gym is too boring! AND DON'T GIVE UP! it does take ages for the to burn and your metabolism to speed up, it could take months, but as soon as it does then it is just for you to maintain that weight, not working as hard as you did to get it off, but when its off it just needs to be kept up to speed. If you get my drift, I did go the gym nearly everyday, but since i lost the weight I wanted to now i only have to go 3 or 4 times a week to keep my metabolism up and the wight down.
Also with food, you can eat what you want in moderating, listen to your body, are you really hungry? are you really starving? or are you just bored? When eating too, eat slowly and don't fill yourself until your unable to move! there's no need.

Im still loosing weight but unfortunately have no recent body pictures to show.

But I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to my wonderful boyfriend for helping me to not only loose this weight and achieve my goals, but also for being there for me through my worst times and best and putting up with the constant depression about my old weight. To turn it around and give me tips and motivation to keep going ( and it does help him being a fitness manager ;) ) I can't thank you enough. I love you so much!
