Eye shadows and Eye Product Reviews

Hello everyone! I hope you are all ok!?

Today's Post is about new products, reviews and tips and tricks.
So lately I have been using my Sugarpill eyeshadows and getting great results with my new MUA brushes. With the brushes they are so cheap and fantastic to use, a great recommendation for you who desire professional brushes for those complex looks but unfortunately like me live by the pennies you find in the bottom of your bag, then these products and brushes are totally the bees knees! Especially the blending brush when doing smoky eye looks or blending in different colors.
As shown on the picture I have started to use sellotape to get that sharp line as i usually end up going to the tops of my cheek....

New MUA brushes and Sugarpill pressed eyeshadows
Hulk inspired makeup, eyebrows are using Sleek Makeup eyebrow palette

A look I did today using Sugarpill pressed eyeshadow, limecrime liquid eyeliner in white and Barry M nude and black lipstick
Saints Row inspired makeup using Sugarpill pink eyeshadow and the 120 palette
Why should eyeshadow just be for eyes? Sugarpill pressed shadow on lips!

Dip dye Disaster and hair colour reviews

Hi guys and dolls! Hope you are all ok!
Sorry ive been MIA for a while, been super busy looking for houses and jobs, hoped to be having an interview this week with a job that got back to me and asked for my photo and a health questionnaire, but no luck. i just want to email them saying 'its manners and curtsy to at least let me applicants know wether or not they have got the job, not leave them hanging in suspense with no peep or email to tell them! AND WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH MY PASSPORT PHOTOS I SENT YOU?! i want them back please.."
Anyways, rant sort of over...for this.

So ive been getting bored abit of my hair colour and in the previous post ive been wanting to go the same colour as Holly Hagan off Geordie Shore, so i took her advice and bought the Manic Panic colour in the colour she said she uses 'Purple Haze'.
Upon purchasing two tubs of the stuff i did a strand test of my own hair instead of risking it all over. As i though i have to have my hair lightened before i have the directions dye on and she bleaches her (nooo way for me!) so i thought id at least get somewhat of a similar colour, even if it has a tint of red or cerise in it. Heres what i came out with:

I is soooo much darker than my hair now! so whats the point of me paying over £50 to have my roots lightened for me to slap dye on and it go just as dark as my natural hair?! and why the hell is hers so much lighter?! plus it was more patchy than an old blanket.

Miffed.

So, -£12 and two usless tubs of hairdye i kept plodding on through the instagram and tumblr pictures and kept comming across this awesome dipdye! I thought to myself, hmmm i think i can do that! it seems pretty simple and ive dipdyes my hair before ( brown with teal bottom).
So i bought some more lighter hair extensions to match my lighter hair (roots growing through yay!) and get some old ones too and get going.

Heres what happened and a step by step instructions on what to do.

1. I usually double up on my extensions, so i usually get one long weve and the fold it in half and cut accordingly to the sizes i want, then sew them together and attach the clips last.

2. Put in the extensions as you normally would, ensure they are straight or as straight as you can get them. This ensures a level line for the dying.

3. then i split them in half and put them into ponytails, then slid them down to the ends to which my natural longest hair finishes ( those two pieces by my neck are the longest. Also you may want to as a few cm more so it gives the hair room to grow and not go over the dipdye line.

4. So i went home bargains and debated between this B Blonde and the XXL blonde, i knew how good the XXL one was but still i was intrigued at the B Blonde and it says on the black that it lightens up to really dark brown. So i paid the £5 and i gave it a go.

About 45 mins later i washed it out
and
excuse my language

FUCK ALL HAPPENED!!!

nothing

nada

zip zilch

so what are we up to on hairdye money? £17?
great, and next payday is a looong way away.

So i ended up sacking it off for 2 days as i was really angry (and coz i prepared the colours to put on after and ened up having to wash them down the sink!)
Then on Monday i bought the reliable XXl and started again.

5. So on the left is my new lighter extensions which it took the cerise out and lightened the natural hair underneath, but the old extensions that i bought from a shopping center in the exact shade (no dying for me!) only lightened a bit, but didn't loose the cerise colour?
By this stage i couldn't give a flyer and decided that instead of two tiers of colour on them, ill just do the lighter ones one colour and the darker another.

6. So on the lighter ones i used the new semi permanents range from XXl Live in blue and then for the darker ones i thought id better make use of the many tubs of Manic panic dye and put it on them.

Then i went to the pub
.
About 1 hour or so later i washed them off, dried them and curled them, and this was the outcome.

They came out ok, not really what i wanted or as bright as i wanted, but it'll do for now.

i really cba, and i wont be doing this again for a while!

What do you guys think?

Rudey Nudey lips and Dewy Skin tricks

So also today my MAC Face and Body foundation came and my Barry M nude lipstick.
With the MAC foundation i found it quite watery and runny, when it came to applying it, it was not a full coverage which I prefer. But it did cover my redness and some of my lighter freckles and dark circles a bit, but also it was quite moisturizing and gave a lovely healthy glow. So this will probably be my everyday foundation, unlike my Estee Lauder Double wear which is like an amazing coverage mask, but the price is quite high ( which isn't good on the purse for a jobless ex student!)

Then I remembered reading an articles yonks ago about adding liquid highlighter to give a dewy glow, so i got out my Benefit High Light and put a line of each on the back of my hand and mixed together onto a foundation brush and applied.
I must say it did do the trick, however I get really greasy skin at the end of the day and often my face gets shiny and the foundation slides off, so i have to apply a good dust of powder on top to set it all.
Here are the results and I will let you form your own opinions.
I must say i did have more of a glow even with the powder on.

My second item was Barry M lipstick in Nude, I dont usually use nude lipsticks because i hate the 'foundation lips' look, especially when they wear out after a few drinks and start cracking. But after seeing a few Lana Del Rey videos and fell in love with the big nude lips i decided to give it ago. I did use to use Limecrime's nude lipstick, but being quite pale it looked like my lips were a darker orange tan color.
So upon using the Barry M one:

  • It gives a great coverage
  • Thick, rich color and texture
  • Sits well on lips (does not sink into creases)
  • great nude color, not overly pink, orange or brown
  • lasts quite a while
  • gives a good shine to look like lipstick and not like dry foundation

YAY!

Whats been happening so far...and black lippy test outcome.

Well boys and girls......

I WAS MY BIRTHDAY ON THURSDAY! (26th September) .....and i was 23....getting good and old. I always think in 2 years I'm halfway to 50!.

WHERES THE WRINKLE CREAM?!?....all joking aside I do see a bulldog smile coming along, i don't know if that's because i have chubby cheeks or what?

But anyhoo I had a fab day and got very spoilt by the boyfriend who also took me shopping and i hauled a lots of Forever 21 stuff (and i went in 5 separate times!) The reason being is that he got me 2 Rihanna outfits from River Island and we went into Forever 21 and both stood there and said..."Holy crap, most this stuff looks like rip offs or copy's of Rihanna's collection?!?." So we studies the outfits and rand back and fourth to F21 and tried to match them up. And i must say....Dayum! it was good! even down to the SWAG and $$$ Socks!
There will be more on that on a later blog where ill put the pics up :)

Otherwise, most of the things I've ordered off Ebay and other sites have finally come!
To start with is something I got off Wowcher, and the first of many things!
If you don't have it, you must! they even do an app for iphone!

So what i bought was a home LED Teeth whitening kit, which was £129 but you pay £19 for the wowcher voucher (lol). Then when the time runs out at the end of the week or whenever the countdown stops, you can collect a discount code (or print off a voucher and take into the allocated shop) or what I had to do was go onto the manufacturers website which was provided and put the kit into a basket then apply the discount code provided to get the money off. Then i paid like £5 for P&P.

So it came today! and it had everything in, the molds, serum in syringes, tooth cleaner and a foam cleaner on stick and even a LED light to excel l the process of whitening!.
With this came a colour progress chart and instructions on what to do, it says to use daily until the desired colour?!?
To be honest im pretty scared to use it, even though it is peroxide free,I have very thing teeth at the ends and you can basically see through the enamel.
Im scared that im gonna use it and itll soften or wear down my enamel and then my teeth will snap and break off till i look like someone whose going on the Jeremy Kyle show. This is my worst nightmare and often sends me in panic attacks till i spend £5 on sensodyne Pronamel toothpaste and like£30 on an electric toothbrush. Brill stuff.
Anyways, this is what I got and hopefully my other half will help me with the process and keeping me calm in order for me to refrain swallowing the retainers and LED light in a panic.
I will let you know how ive got on :)

Anyway a while ago i did a rant and stuff on unique and dark colored lipsticks and I was going to wear my black lipstick to Alton Towers theme park and see what everyone's reaction was?

Yeah that didn't happen. Soz.

It was my mates birthday and me and 3 other lads went, so i didnt want to embarass them in the first place and i was stomping around in my black army rigger boots and that teamed up with black lippy, hmmmm, abit too gothic? So when i felt brave enough I put it in my bag to put on later. The sun was shining all the way there, until we got in and started queing, the heavens opened and we all got soaked to the bone (earlier i spent 1 hour contemplating to wear my mums waterproof red pack-a-mac and decided it was too frumpy and old). Stupid me, I paid the price, £6 to be exact for a bright yellow plastic poncho advertising the new 'Smiler' ride.
So when it was 2 ish we decided to get something to eat, and i freshened up in the loo and peeled the wet sticky jackets off my back and as i looked in the mirror It looked like the best Lady Gaga Applause makeup ever!

GOOD GOD! so i wiped it into somewhat a normal looking amount of makeup and ripped out my extensions and shoved it all into my bag.
Sod the makeup
Sod the hair
Sod what i look like
LETS GET ON THOSE COASTERS!

Then the sun came out and we all dried off and went home.

Although all of this hapened I had a fun and fab day with my mates and cant wait to go again!

I will do a black/different lipstick test and review, but for now its postponed due to bad weather.
